Of the Last Few Days...

There's so much to say, so much being felt,
My heart's content, my mind's emotions,
too many to pen in such an entry.

All will be revealed in time

Christmas was great,
in the year 2008,
with dinners and talks and lots that we ate.

All will be revealed in time

So for those who know,
my heart's prayer,
Please do pray hard, that God's will be done

That fears be allayed and that questions be answered,
That doubts will fade and trust prevail.
That the One who does immeasurably more than we can ever ask or imagine, be the same one who takes centre stage in life and lead the way through the thick snow of uncertainty.

All will be revealed, in time.

One truth which leads to eternity,
No one could really fathom, yet
Everyone chooses to ignore.

More than just words in a book,
Or lessons from Sunday School,
No knowledge can ever fully comprehend,
The truth, that
He loves us more than we can ever imagine.

the one who knows who this is for, call me when you read this. The solution is simple yet elegant.

The Prayer...

Chart the path ahead.
Humble me to accept your plan.
Use me, for your glory.
In Christ alone I place my trust.
Through it all, give me peace.
In times of struggle, rescue me from my adversities.
Not my will, but yours be done.
God, You alone can do all these and more than I can ever imagine.

Commit the days ahead into your holy hands. In Jesus Name I pray.

Amen

Centre stage is at UCC @ NUS. Not the nicest of places to shoot I hear, but I will have to make do. Web of Love - Gasteracantha cancriformis

A yellow Gasteracantha cancriformis or Horned Spider finishes off her web with a romantic twist. This species lives in woodland edges and shrubby gardens. This spider adds little tufts of silk to its web. These seem not to function to attract prey. Possibly one function is to warn larger animals not to accidentally destroy the web, or to act as camouflage.

Beauty and the Beast

Rhinos and Mynahs have this truely mutualistic symbiotic relationship - sharing the same feeding grounds and with the latter often seen atop the former's back. However sometimes, Mynahs do take offence at Rhinos nonchalance. Here, the fierce Mynah gives the docile Rhino a stern glare and a cacking earful.

Downtown Singapore by Night

The city stays alive at night as little lights line the Singapore River and various national sites remain lit to cater to the night life in Singapore. It is amazing how this little city has become such a vibrant country over just a little over 40 years.

_______The CAST_______

Kuo Sing Lynn

Rose

With a wealth of experience in the musical scene, Sing Lynn and Christina lead and direct this maiden Mid Autumn Musical. Various university productionshave given Sing Lynn multi-faceted exposure, empowering her to piece together the very best show elements
in preparation of this musical.

Christina Chang

Neo Lian Hua

Mass communication whiz turned singer/actress, Christina's technical wizardry with stage setup and lighting as well as lyrical eloquency give a masterful touch to this musical but her creativity really shines during her composition of songs.

Roy Goh

Joe

Roy has played various roles in very different productions over the years. His acts vary from big time company bosses to lowly servants yet Roy seems to be able to take in and play most, if not all, his characters with such realism that it is no wonder he landed himself a spot in this production.

Samuel Tan

Cultured Ah Beng

Like Sing Lynn, Samuel has been involved in productions all through his university years. His prior experience in a choir only adds to the list of qualities he already posses in this trade. A winner of many awards including Best Actor in 2000 makes him a top choice in any production.

_______The BAND_______

Benita Lim

Piano / Shakers

A gig musician in the local music scene, Benita is highly proficient in a wide array of instruments. She is the drummer both in church and in her
band (You And Whose Army?) but plays the piano with equal skill and dexterity making her the most versatile of instrumentalists in this musical's band line up.

Aaron Chan

Bass

Not many have the determination and willingness of Aaron when it comes to picking up new riffs or new instruments for that matter. A self taught bassist, Aaron's humility is his greatest strength, and this added with the ability to play by ear makes Aaron an excellent musician to work with.

Deborah Ang

Synthesizer

Deborah's has been playing the synthesizer specifically for about 2 years now. Her prior experience on the piano makes her playing extremely clean and precise. Without fear of failure or scorn, Deborah works very hard to achieve the desired musical sounds the very demanding musical director demands of her and never ceases to impress when it really comes down to it.

Vanessa Chung

Drums

An eager learner, Vanessa started off from very humble musical beginnings and was slowly invited to play for worship at the larger congregations. This musical marks yet another one of these steps forward as she plays for more technically demanding songs, which, she pulled off extremely well.

Nathanael Xie Wenyao

Guitar / Piano

uhmmm, Nathanael Xie Wenyao is the author of this blog. He plays the guitar and piano and needs lots of help from all the wonderful people you see above =) and God of course. Haha

Turn Up the volume (turn down the bass, echo quite bad) and try to enjoy =)
